Jacquard Softening Additive is used to soften the hand of Jacquard Professional Screen Inks on fabric. Jacquard Professional Screen Inks are water-based, multi-surface inks with excellent adhesion on all sorts of textiles, including synthetic and waterproofed fabrics. Often, when printing on lightweight fabrics and apparel, a softer print may be desirable. Jacquard Softening Additive makes this possible.
Add 5 - 7.5% by weight of Softening Additive to Jacquard Professional Screen Inks (2.5 - 4.5 teaspoons/12-22 ml of additive per 8 fl oz/0.24 L of ink), mix thoroughly, and let rest for 5 - 10 minutes before printing.
Softening Additive may affect the viscosity of the ink. Always test before production runs.
