Mineral Paper Art Boards are made with 150 gsm Mineral Paper, mounted to a hard backing board to provide a unique, sturdy substrate that will not stretch, tear or warp. Great for sketching, painting, monoprinting, stenciling, rubber stamping, cartooning, finger painting. Use with watercolor, gouache, silverpoint, colored pencils, charcoal, pastels, alcohol ink, acrylics, pen & ink, markers.
Yasutomo Mineral Paper Art Boards are made of a paper substrate made of calcium carbonate. It is not made of trees and does not contain any wood pulp. Mineral Paper provides a smooth, vellum surface with a delicate eggshell texture. Suitable for a variety of wet and dry mediums. Excellent for alcohol inks and silverpoint (no gesso preparation needed!).

Pro Tip: For smoother color application, try "priming" Mineral Paper by applying water to the surface and wiping it dry before applying thin viscosity mediums such as ink or watercolor.
Not recommended for use with oil-based mediums.
