Mashi Hosho Paper is a double layered Japanese Washi paper. Mashi is fused with Hosho paper to create a thick, sturdy, two-layered paper that does not wrinkle or bleed through.
Mashi Hosho is made in Echizen, located within the Fukui prefecture in Japan. Smooth Mashi is fused with sturdy Hosho on the back side, producing a thick, sturdy paper that accepts mediums beautifully on both sides. This paper does not wrinkle or bleed through. Unbleached. Sized to allow for fine detail in ink and color. Not acid-free. Excellent for card stock.
Ideal for gansai watercolors, calligraphy, sumi painting, ink work, Western watercolors, pencil, acrylic paint, gouache, stamping, block printing and more.
