Winsor & Newton Winton Oil Colour Prussian Blue is a synthetic, transparent deep blue pigment. It is mixed with linseed oil and is a permanent color with excellent lightfastness. It was made by German chemist Diesbach around 1704 making it the first synthetic blue pigment. It quickly gained favor as an alternative to genuine Ultramarine.
Made from high-quality pigments, Winton Oil Colours are durable, lightfast and permanent. With Winton's uniform consistency, it is exceptional for general use and ideal for working in large volume at the highest level. It offers excellent retention of brush and palette knife strokes.
