Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour Mars Black is a heavy opaque pigment that is a dense black color with a brown undertone. It is extremely permanent with excellent lightfastness and granulation capabilities. It is made from mineral iron oxide and was therefore named after the alchemical name for iron: Mars.
