Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour Perylene Violet is a transparent very dark and intense maroon masstone color, which shifts toward a dull red violet in tints. It is permanent with staining capabilities. Perylene Violet is a single pigment color made using PV29. The paint makes an interesting shadow accent color for portraits and figures, but used lightly, it has a purplish brown color when dried.
