The color is that of a picholine olive, a dark yellow-green color, less pale than most olives. The beauty of Green Gold is in its undertone and tint. At first the undertone appears as a very transparent virgin olive oil color but then it imparts a stunning amber glow from within.
Made in small batches, Williamsburg Handmade Oil Colors are recognized for being richly pigmented and dense. Each color is treated individually, with each pigment ground to the nature of that specific color, bringing out the beauty and preserving the wider range of differences that were common in the past.
