Interested in learning how to mat and mount your watercolors? Instructor Anne Kupillas will teach you two ways of presenting your watercolor paintings on paper. Whether you are selling, submitting to a show or just looking for a way to make your artwork more giftable, this is a great workshop.
Saturday / Day 1: Matting Your Watercolors with pre-cut mats; Part 1 of Mounting Your Watercolors on cradled panel (drying time involved overnight) Sunday / Day 2: Part 2 of Mounting your Watercolors and varnishing them for UV resistance
Required:
3-4 completed and dry watercolor paintings done on Arches Watercolor Paper. At least one of the paintings should NOT be your best work (ie bring one you are willing to mess up on for the mounting session!) Your paintings should be painted on 5x7" and 8x10" paper and artwork itself should not exceed 4.75 x 6.75" or 7.75" x 9.75" DO NOT TRIM THE PAPER; leave paper sized to 5x7" or 8x10" Bring: (2) 5x7" paintings and (1 or 2) 8x10" paintings
Materials Provided:
Pre-Cut mats and accessories, 1 small cradeled panel, cutting tools, matte medium, weights, tape, UV spray
Please note this in person class is limited to 12 students. Students must be over 18 years of age to attend this class.
