In this workshop, participants will paint 3-4 mini gouache landscape paintings ranging from 2"x 4" to 4"x6". Gouache is the opaque sibling to watercolor, water-soluble with a matte finish. Great for a wide range of uses from flat washes to thick textures, easy mixing to complex color application, all of which will be covered during this course.
Learn about composition, tone over color, shapes in landscapes and more. Andrew will demonstrate his process step by step for participants to follow along with.
All Materials Provided: Daniel Smith Gouache Paint (Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Prussian Blue & Cadmium Red), Palette, Flat 1/2" Watercolor Brush, Round #4 Brush, Spray Bottle, Water Cup, Table Easel, Paper Towels, Illustration Board & Pencil
Photo references will be provided but students are welcome to bring their own reference if they wish.
Please note this in person class is limited to 18 students. Students under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
