IIn this workshop, participants will paint 3-4 mini gouache landscape paintings ranging from 2"x4" to 4"x6". Gouache is the opaque sibling to watercolor which is water-soluble that has a matte finish. Gouache, however, has a wide range of uses from flat washes to thick textures, easy mixing to complex color application, all of which will be covered during this course. Along with learning the principles of gouache, the class will learn about composition, tone over color and shapes in landscapes and much more. The instructor will demo his process in a step by step format for participants to follow along with. Participants may also use their own photo references to complete their paintings.
All Materials Provided:Daniel Smith Gouache Paint (Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Prussian Blue & Cadmium Red), Palette, Flat 1/2" Watercolor Brush, Round #4 Brush, Spray Bottle, Water Cup, Table Easel, Paper Towels, Illustration Board & Pencil
