Paint mini portraits with gouache on illustration board with guidance from instructor Andrew Cortez. Learn tips and techniques to paint with gouache. Andrew will demonstrate how to use warm and cool colors to define shape.as he guides you through the process of simplifying portraits from a photograph.
Start with a provided reference as Andrew guides you through the process step by step. Then students have the option to paint from their own portrait references. You will paint 2-4 portraits during this class.
All Materials Provided: Winsor & Newton Gouache Paint (Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Prussian Blue & Cadmium Red), Palette, Flat 1/2" Watercolor Brush, Round #4 Brush, Spray Bottle, Water Cup, Table Easel, Paper Towels, Illustration Board & Pencil
Please note this class is limited to 18 students. Students under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
