Paint mini portraits with gouache on illustration board. Instructor Andrew Cortez will teach tips and techniques to paint with gouache as he guides you through the process of simplifying portraits from a photograph. Andrew will demonstrate how to use warm and cool colors to define shape.
Start with a provided reference as Andrew guides you through the process step by step, then move onto individual portrait references that you bring. You will paint 2-4 portraits during this class.
All Materials Provided:Winsor Newton Gouache paint (Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Prussian Blue, Cadmium red), palette, 1/2" flat watercolor brush, #4 round brush, spray bottle, water cup, table easel, paper towels, illustration board, pencil
Please note this in person class is limited to 18 students. Attendees under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
