Half art history, half skill development, this class will introduce students to the history and meaning of "Memento Mori" (remembrance of our own mortality), its importance in art, and its profound potential to breathe life and depth into your art. Still lifes will feature animal skulls, preserved flowers, drapery and other materials. Composition studies will be demonstrated, students will be encourages to draw several of these before finalizing one as a finished sketch.

Materials Required
9x12 toned sketch book (brown or kraft color recommended), HB Conte Pencil, White Pencil, Kneaded Eraser

Please note this in person class is limited to 14 students.Students under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
