The air adjustment knob sets the amount of air flowing through the airbrush. It's a convenient way to adjust the pressure on the fly. Start with the knob set at the full open position by twisting it counterclockwise until it stops. After you're familiar with the airbrush, adjust the air pressure to achieve the best spray pattern as necessary.
