In this workshop, participants will learn how to paint mini portraits in a fun, step by step process on illustration board using gouache. Learn simple portrait proportion guidelines, how to use gouache, and easy to use color theory, all in one class. These tiny portraits are a great way to simplify and study effective shape language and color temperature too. We will start with a step by step portrait painting and then move into individual portrait references that you may bring. You can expect to paint 2-4 portraits. .
All Materials Provided:Winsor Newton Gouache paint (Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Prussian Blue, Cadmium red), palette, 1/2" flat watercolor brush, #4 round brush, spray bottle, water cup, table easel, paper towels, illustration board, pencil
Please note this in person class is limited to 18 students. Attendees under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
