Try out a wide range of printing techniques using the gelli plate while you create a folded book out of one large piece of paper. Jenny Willmore will show you how to try out stencils, layering techniques, masking, watersoluble mediums, paint markers and more. There are many ways to use the gelli printing plate- you can't really use it wrong!
This class is about fun and experimentation, experienced gelli printers are welcome to use their own techniques and share their knowledge with the class. Once done printing, turn the large paper into a book. Add collage or drawing techniques to create a finished handmade book.
All Materials Provided: Hot Press Watercolor paper, Gelli printing plate, brayer, spatula, acrylic paint, paint markers, paint brushes, spray bottle, water soluble crayons, tape, scissors, glue stick, stencils, texture plates.
Materials Suggested: You are welcome to bring your own stencils, textures (dried leaves, flowers) collage materials, or hair dryer for drying, but it is not required.
Please note this in person class is limited to 12 students.
