Draw from a live model during this full figure workshop with artist Andrew Cortez. Discuss gesture, proportion and balance. Drawing on gray toned paper, learn about two tone block-in, how to carve out light and shadow to create three dimensional form, and how to understand your light source. Use new techniques and materials to create soft and hard edges.
All Materials Provided:
Grey toned paper (18"x24"), willow charcoal, 4B and HB charcoal pencil, white pastel pencil, bristle brush, stump, kneaded eraser.
Please note this in person class is limited to 14 students. Attendees under 18 need be accompanied by an adult.
