Holbein DUO is a water-soluble oil paint. It can be softened or diluted with water. It can be diluted with water instead of volatile solvents such as petrol, and brushes can also be washed with water. By using water, you can always create oil paintings in a clean production environment, even in poorly ventilated studios and classrooms. Recommended for people who are sensitive to odors and solvents.
Duo mixed with water is a type of mixed tempera paint. Although it is an oil paint, it has the properties of a water-based paint. By taking advantage of water's unique smearing and surface tension, it brings unprecedented new expressions to oil paintings, such as uniform thin coatings and uninterrupted hatching using sharp, dark lines. Since it is an oil paint, once it dries, you will have a solid oil painting that will not dissolve in water or oil. Can be freely mixed with regular oil paints. However, please note that if you mix more than 30% of ordinary oil paint or oil painting fluid, it will not dissolve in water.
