Golden Acrylics Heavy Body paint in Nickel Azo Yellow (1225) is a transparent, synthetic organic color with excellent lightfastness and permanency. 'The "Azo" (aye - zoe) is short for Azomethine, Nickel Azo pigment produces a transparent, brownish yellow at full strength but with enormous range. Excellent for creating rich amber glazes or extending further for high-pitched yellows. Tint with white for a bright, sunshine yellow.

Each Heavy Body color formula reflects the qualities of its pigment. Colors that tolerate a higher pigment load dry to a more opaque, matte finish. Colors that are more reactive and do not allow as much pigment loading tend to have a glossier, more transparent, finish. Because Heavy Body colors contain no matting agents, the gloss of each color will be different.
