Continue exploring the monotype printing method using gel plates. Whether you have used gel plates before or are new to them, we will explore basic color considerations, paint transparency, opacity and viscosity, simple mark-making, layering, and basic techniques to create colorful mono-prints using stencils and texture tools. This experimental and playful class is designed for beginners and curious creatives. Students will leave with a small collection of finished gel prints that can be used for art journaling, collage, cards, or future mixed media projects.
Materials Provided: Acrylic paint, gelli plate, paper, brayer (roller), texture plate/stencils
Please note this in person class is limited to 15 students. Students under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
