In this hands-on beginner workshop, students will be introduced to gel plate printing using acrylic paint. We'll explore basic color considerations, understanding paint transparency and opacity, simple mark-making, layering, and basic techniques to create colorful monoprints using stencils and texture tools. This is an experimental and playful class designed for beginners and curious creatives. Students will leave with a small collection of finished gel prints that can be used for art journaling, collage, cards, or future mixed media projects.
Materials Provided: Acrylic paint, gelli plate, paper, brayer (roller), texture plate/stencils
Please note this in person class is limited to 15 students. Students under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
