In this special fall-themed watercolor class, we will paint beautiful autumn leaves, exploring the rich colors, delicate shapes, textures, and patterns that make each leaf unique. Students will learn how to layer transparent washes, blend warm fall colors, create interesting textures, and add fine details to bring their leaves to life. Whether you are new to watercolor or have some experience, this class is designed to be approachable and enjoyable. You will be guided step-by-step while also having the freedom to add your own creative touches. Come spend some relaxing, creative time painting the colors of fall-and leave with your own beautiful watercolor celebration of the season. No previous watercolor experience is required. Just bring your curiosity and creativity!
Darshini Aithal is an award-winning artist and art educator with more than three decades of experience teaching art. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions, and her artistic practice continues to be inspired by her love of nature, color, and the simple beauty found in everyday moments. With a relaxed and encouraging approach to teaching, Darshini invites her students to explore watercolor creatively, discover their own artistic expression, and enjoy the process of painting.
Materials Provided:
Winsor Newton: Lemon yellow, Cadmium yellow, Yellow ochre, Orange, Scarlet lake, Alizarin crimson, Burnt Siena, Burnt umber, Sap green, Prussian blue, Paynes grey, White gouache. Paper: 140 lb, cotton 9x 12 Cold pressed; pencil, paper towel, water, 12 round, #6 round and #2 round.
Please note this in person class is limited to 18 students. Students 18 and under need to be accompanied by an adult.
