Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolor 15ml Zoisite Genuine
Zoisite, a mineral from Austria discovered in 1804, is a lush primal green with a dark--almost black--bottle green, granulating surface. With minimal paint to water, the effect is a gray-green with a micro-dotted surface. With maximum paint to water, the surface fractures to a faux leather look with a distinct three-dimensional effect. Play with the ratios and be fascinated by the amount of interest Zoisite can add to your painting.
DANIEL SMITH created the PrimaTek line of paints made from minerals, some semi-precious, beginning in 1998 with a cache of Lapis Lazuli. They have a mineralogist who sources minerals which we process into pigment, then mill it into watercolor. PrimaTeks express themselves with gorgeous granulation, giving a sense of movement and depth that some artists have described as magical.
Formulated to meet and exceed the highest industry standards, every batch is thoroughly analyzed for its performance qualities--lightfastness, color value, tinting strength, clarity, vibrancy, undertone, particle size, density and viscosity. Paint everything you can imagine with vibrant and consistent colors that can be easily mixed for even more variations.
