This opaque pigment has excellent lightfastness and medium staining capabilities.Temperature aside, both blues have equal permanence and lightfastness. Ultramarine Blue is a historic pigment used in Egyptian tombs and was a favorite of Raphael, da Vinci, Renoir and Michelangelo.
