Discover the power of color in landscape painting! In this class learn to embrace instead of being afraid of color. Think differently about how to use vibrant color combinations to give your paintings mood and emotion. With just one image, we'll use the color wheel to create three small studies, each with a different color scheme. Then select the color scheme you like best and create a larger finished painting. Joe A Oakes will provide step by step instruction throughout the process.

Materials Provided: Holbein Acrylic Paint (Cadmium Yellow Deep, Cadmium Orange, Compose Violet, Luminous Rose, Amethyst, Shadow Green, Ultramarine Blue, Titanium White), and occasionally M. Graham Payne's Grey or Terra Rosa, Liquitex Acrylic Paint (Cobalt Teal), watercolor paper, 12x16 Canvas, Bristle Paint Brushes (Round #4, Filbert #6 and Flat #8), Palette Knife, Rag or Paper Towel & Water.

Please note this in person class is limited to 15 students. Students under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
