Learn the step by step process to draw a two-tone charcoal portrait on grey toned paper with instruction from artist Andrew Cortez. During this class learn to simplify the complexity of portraiture while drawing from a live model. Learn techniques to render and blend with a bristle brush for a smoky effect, how to apply highlights and more.

Materials Required: Willow charcoal, HB & 4B charcoal pencil, white pastel pencil, blending stump, kneaded eraser.

Materials Provided: Grey toned paper 11"x 14", bristle brush for blending
