Arches Aquarelle Watercolour Travel Journal is a 140 lb (300 gsm) hot pressed, natural white paper spiral pad that is 6" x 10" (15 x 25 cm) in size with 4 cut edges. The 15 sheets of the Arches Aquarelle paper pad are removable once the painting is dry.
Made on a cylinder mould or the "Traditional Process", Arches Watercolor Paper is quality close to that of paper made by craft methods. Exclusive to Arches, gelatin sizing to the core preserves the lustre and transparency of the colours whilst preventing paints from penetrating into the paper. It allows superposing of washes and gives it added strength to resist erasing and scratching without tearing or linting. It also allows paints to be removed, either wet or dry, easily revealing the whiteness of the paper. Arches Aquarelle can absorb a large amount of water with limited deformation. Its 100% long cotton fiber composition gives the paper its beauty, a natural, lasting whiteness and an inimitable touch as well as strength that is ideal for watercolor paintings and all wet techinques such as ink, gouache & acrylic.
