Museum Series Scratchbord is made from Ampersand's premium warp-resistant 1/8" profile FSC-certified Hardbord that is sealed and protected with their proprietary Archiva-Seal and coated with an ultra-smooth, highly absorbent, acid-free kaolin clay ground with India ink. Scratchbord is easier to scratch into for clean, crisp details and lines and unlike paper scratchboards it will not rip, tear, bend, or wrinkle.
Add vibrant color and repair unwanted marks with Ampersand Scratchbord/Claybord Inks. These transparent, lightfast inks are tested to work perfectly with Scratchbord and Claybord. The Black Repair ink allows artists to cover unwanted lines in their artwork. Seal finished Scratchbord with a spray fixative and display without glass.
