YUPO is a unique synthetic non-absorbant paper that allows you to manipulate and wipe away watercolor while you paint. Artist Annie Clavel will show you experimental methods and how to have fun allowing watercolors to mix together and do their own thing on this unique paper. Also learn how to control the way you paint and play with texture. For inspiration bring some objects, photographs, or just use your imagination.
Materials Required: Watercolor Paint (tubes encouraged), Following colors are suggested: French Ultramarine Blue, Phthalo Blue, Indigo, Quinacridone Rose, Pyrrol Scarlet, New Gamboge, Hansa Yellow Light, pad of Yupo paper 74lb or 144lb, 9"x12" or a single sheet 24"x30" (cut down to a size you prefer), Brushes suggested: Synthetic Round Brush #2, Angular Wash Brush 3/4", any other watercolor brushes you like to use.
Please note this in person class is limited to 12 students. Students under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
