Winsor & Newton Calligraphy Ink Crimson is a very permanent, mid-bluish red color. It originates from the color of the dye produced from crushed Kermes insects.
Winsor & Newton Calligraphy inks are made from high quality pigments in acrylic. All the inks have been formulated with carefully chosen pigments to ensure maximum brilliance of color and permanency. Single pigments have been used wherever possible to make clean color mixtures.
Please note that these inks are not water-proof, which means they can be reactivated with water and work best when used with a brush or a dip pen.
