Spray fixatives are aerosol cans filled with liquid that sometimes contains acrylic. These are used mostly by fine artists to preserve artwork and drawings to prevent damage against weathering and unwanted smears. Because of the acrylic content in the liquid, this also acts as a barrier against moisture and sunlight. Also, available are spray varnishes that are either for oil paintings or wood furnishings.
