Nude Life Drawing Sessions Every Wednesday
Wednesday Nights 7:00pm to 10:00pm

Figure drawing is a cornerstone of artistic training. The figure presents many technical issues including form, structure, foreshortening and more. Stripped of the cultural baggage of clothing, the nude figure can express every aspect of humanity, from the heroic to the pathetic.

Join us every Wednesday for our life drawing session that focuses on the figure. This uninstructed session is great for students young and old. Starting with shorter poses to warm up your artistic brain, we range from 2 minute poses to 20 minute poses. All mediums are welcome. Easels, benches, and refreshments are provided. Please bring your own paper and drawing materials. Derwent has provided Charcoal, Pastel, Graphite and other drawing pencils for attendees to try out during the session.

We request courtesy, maturity, and respect to the model and other artists. Photography is not allowed. We promote an open atmosphere where artists can interact, view, discuss, and encourage each other.

Registration is $15 per person, per session. $60 for a month pass, valid for Wednesday and Sunday sessions, a $120 value! Limited seats are available, sign up today!

9:30am-4:00m

This class is currently FULL. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list, please email (rebecca@artsupplywarehouse.com) or call Rebecca at (714)-891-3626.

During this three day class Fealing will teach you how to relax and enjoy the process of portraiture as you discover the spontaneity of watercolor. You will develop an understanding of the underlying structure of the head that will give you confidence to take on even the most challenging portraits.

Throughout the course of the weekend, attendees will learn how light affects shape, value, and dimension as well as how to use the transparency of watercolor to encourage the glow of the paper underneath to shine through.

Registration is $249. This includes three days of instruction, and ALL materials for the class. Seats are limited so sign up today!

Pictured below are some samples of Fealing's portraiture. Award-winning watercolorist Fealing Lin (NWS) of San Marino, California, was born in Taiwan and began her journey into artistic expression as a protege of renowned Taiwanese professor Ching-Jung Chen. She subsequently moved to the United States to pursue her career with watercolorist and senior art historian professor Verna Wells. Her works have garnered several awards in many national exhibitions including NWS, WW, TWSA, Brand National, Audubon Artist, San Diego Watercolor International and many others.
