Nude Life Drawing Sessions Every Wednesday
Wednesday Nights 7:00pm to 10:00pm

Figure drawing is a cornerstone of artistic training. The figure presents many technical issues including form, structure, foreshortening and more. Stripped of the cultural baggage of clothing, the nude figure can express every aspect of humanity, from the heroic to the pathetic.

Join us every Wednesday for our life drawing session that focuses on the figure. This uninstructed session is great for students young and old. Starting with shorter poses to warm up your artistic brain, we range from 2 minute poses to 20 minute poses. All mediums are welcome. Easels, benches, and refreshments are provided. Please bring your own paper and drawing materials. Derwent has provided Charcoal, Pastel, Graphite and other drawing pencils for attendees to try out during the session.

We request courtesy, maturity, and respect to the model and other artists. Photography is not allowed. We promote an open atmosphere where artists can interact, view, discuss, and encourage each other.

Registration is $15 per person, per session. $60 for a month pass, valid for Wednesday and Sunday sessions, a $120 value! Limited seats are available, sign up today!

Nude/Costumed Long Pose Life Drawing Sessions Every Sunday
Sundays 4:00pm to 7:00pm

Join us Sunday evenings for long pose sessions. During this session the model will strike one pose for the entire session. This allows the attendee to make an advanced study of the figure or portrait. With a longer pose one can not only study the figure, but focus on color issues as well. Painting from life rather than a picture can achieve more realistic results. This session is designed for painters, pastel artists, and anyone who desires time for a more in depth study, all mediums are welcome. Models will be nude or costumed.

Registration is $15 per person, per session. $60 for a month pass valid for Wednesday and Sunday sessions, a $120 value! Seats are limited, sign up today!

You will develop an understanding of the underlying structure of the head that will give you confidence to take on even the most challenging portraits.
